Yesterday's Squash E-zine pointed out that the US Squash website does not
contain any obvious references to the Back The Bid and World Squash Day
campaigns that so many organizations and individuals around the world are
working so tirelessly on.
Similarly, there seems to be nothing in support of these efforts on either
the US Squash Facebook page or its US Open website.
World Squash Day is only a month away and is designed this year as a key
global showcase event to support our sport, with next year's critical IOC vote
looming.
You would think that participating openly in the Olympic bid campaign for
the past several months would have been one of US Squash's most important
priorities.
I agree. I also think their website, which could be a destination for US-based players, is failing to live up to its promise. The occasional press release, that's all they have.... I was hoping that by now they would have increased their offerings, but nothing seems to be happening. And that includes something as easy as slapping on a Back the Bid logo.....
ReplyDeleteAgree completely, but I also know that US Squash has a new website going live in a few days. Perhaps there will be something on there...
ReplyDeleteits sad and shows another case of lacking professional interest
ReplyDeleteThey just added a little something about an olympic bid video contest...waddaya know.
ReplyDeleteDSR delivers
ReplyDeleteUS Squash added the Squash 2020 logo on their homepage on Friday, the day after Daily Squash Report said they should.
I don't think U.S. Squash pays attention to what a web site says.
ReplyDeleteRemarkable coincidence then
